Jasmine

Yes, I know, I know, you have seen my jasmine before but it is such an amazing bush and its fragrance is so lovely that I cannot stop myself from posting it once again. And no, the house in the background is not my cottage but a shed where I keep my fire wood and some garden tools.

too bad the computer can't transmit that smell -- I bet it's wonderful! Stephen and I want to come and visit!

You are most welcome!!!! We have a small guest cottage and would love to see you here. Mom and Dad talked about it but were a bit concerned when I mentioned that we have a "short drop" toilet. :)

Hi Bear - Zahra shared your link with me and now I too am enjoying your thoughts and pictures.

I especially appreciated your "careerist" metaphor in this blog post, which seems to be very true where I am right now. Like your hops, I grew very quickly but now seem to be slowly losing the support system and encouragement I need to continue to thrive beyond the poles -- a real shame.

Well, at least you can make beer with your harvest of hops! Skol!

Dear Canadiun, I went back to my hops to try to find a solution to your problem and noted two things. First of all, it has started to branch out in all direction in a way I have not seen before and secondly, I noted that the first tiny sprout that reached the top has now joined other sprouts and is adding a few inches of hight above the pole. I am not clear in my mind how this can be applied to your situation but I have considering a book about "Management hops style". :)
