 The weather is slowly getting colder, so we had to go to Svångemåla to change to winter tyres. Luckily the sun came out several times and, together with the foliage, the forest was really colourful. There are some birds around, and they were very happy when I filled up the bird feeder with peanuts. The nuthatches were extremely busy going forth and back from their hiding places and the feeder, and one can wonder if they will ever find all the food they have saved/ stored :) 

The nuthatch is the dominant bird as long as the jays are not around. The other, smaller birds, like the blue tits and the marsh tits all gave way when the nuthatch came. 

One nuthatch was so eager and flew so carelessly that it hit a window. It was groggy for a while but after a good rest, it took off and seemed to be OK. 

The green woodpecker is not very often in our garden, but this time I was happy to spot it high up in a tree.

A rather angry-looking blue tit :)

The jay is a very noisy but also a shy bird. It got beautiful, blue wings and a forehead that almost looks like it has a Maori tattoo.
