This is probably the best time of the year in Svångemåla. Nature is coming to life in so many ways and all senses can feel the changes that happen every day, well almost every hour. To me, the arrival of different birds is probably the most exciting event and I was thrilled when I saw the wagtail for the first time. The couple is most probably the same that has stayed here the last couple of years and since they are unafraid of us, they almost feel like pets.
A different kind of bird is the flycatcher. They come about the same time as the wagtail but behave differently. Not as “friendly” as the wagtail and far more aggressive towards other birds. In particular, they seem to have a constant fight going with the big tits. Once I saw a poor tit with part of its scalp removed in a fight for a birdhouse. Nature is not always the calm, peaceful and friendly environment we think.
Just accept it and enjoy it to its fullest!
