Rhubarb

The Rhubarb (Rheum rhabarbarum) are making their way up. They do not look like much in the beginning but soon their leaves will be like parasols! Cannot wait for the first pie with custard.

Common Crane (Grus grus)

If you have followed this blogg for some time, you know that a pair of Common Cranes are regular visitors. This year I have only seen one walking around on "the Field" but both have flown low over our roof. An impressive sight.

Spring cleaning !

The weather during the Easter holiday was perfect for cleaning up the garden and make a small fire.

Goose ( Anser anser)

Many, but not all birds have now gathered in Svångemåla after their move to warmer areas during the winter. One, that we have not seen very often, is this one, a goose. It was sitting in the middle of "the Field" and looked a bit lost.

Frog

I was a bit surprised when I saw this little fellow in the grass as early as end of March. Is that normal?

I guess it is a common frog (Rana temporaria ).
